| I am a Research
Staff member at the
IBM India
Research Lab, Delhi. I am working with the Speech
Group at IRL. For the last 3 years I have been working on Audio-Visual
Speech Recognition and Visual Speech Synthesis. Currently I am working
on build a Speech Recognition system for the Hindi language. I have been
working on using translingual techniques in the speech domain to overcome
the language barrier.
Before joining the IBM Research Lab, I finished
my Masters from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1998. I had
worked on Image compression and other DSP algorithms during the 18 month
course.
